When you upload a file of email addresses to be validated, the first level of service is a pre-process check.

Pre-processing takes a quick look at your data in order to check that the system can read it, and to flag issues that may impact your results. Every line of your file is counted, and the emails we detect are noted, along with any duplicates.

In addition, your data is also ‘shallow verified’. This is when two hundred lines are checked to give a quick health-check of your data and return an indication of it’s profile.

The reason for pre-processing and shallow verification is to give you an indicator of whether to proceed with your validation. Think of it as a quick, simple way to save you from wasting time and using quota to check a file that is in very poor condition.
