The verification result ServerIsCatchAll refers to a domain that will “catch-all” of the incoming emails addressed to the domain. Configuring a catch-all domain can help avoid losing emails due to misspelling or staff leaving. However, many email hosts no longer permit catch-all’s since many spammers abuse the feature.

For example: If [email protected] is configured to be the catch-all email address on loreal.com, then any email sent to an incorrect email address @loreal.com will be forwarded to [email protected] instead of being rejected as an Undeliverable message.

Examples:

[email protected] – Unverifiable / CatchAll

[email protected] – Unverifiable / CatchAll

Email Hippo can tell you when an email domain is “catch-all”, unlike our competitors who may tell you the domain is “ok” the consequences of emailing to a false “ok” are hard bounces which are not acceptable when the whole point of email verification is to reduce the number of hard bounces
